Our Institution is very keen to follow up the Rukminidevi principles. Smt.
Rukminidevi Arundale believed that the art form can be taught only by the method
of curriculum. (So, she created the Kalakshetra gurukulam). By learning art
based on this method of curriculum, we would get an in-depth knowledge about the
art-form which cannot be gained through any other private tuition facilities.
Smt. Rukminidevi Arundale thus abolished the concept of home tuition, especially
the following up of the Devadasi tradition. A major belief of Smt. Rukminidevi
is that an art institution should have in it all forms of arts, only then the
institution will have an ever-lasting vibration in it constituting a pleasant
artistic environment. Thus, Rukminidevi's Kalakshetra was set up in the same
way, whose foot steps are the guidelines for our institutions. It majorly
highlights the permeation of general education with the influence of art and
culture. Thus we, Rukminidevi Natyakshetra Foundation feel proud to follow all
these principles of Smt. Rukminidevi.
