Part Time Certificate Course - Bharathanatyam
Course Style:
• Part-time course consists of following papers.
1. Practical - 7 papers
2. Theory - 4 papers(written)
• Duration of the course is 7 years.
• Candidates will be admitted from the age of 7 years to 14 years.
• Candidates of age more than 14 years will be considered under special cases for admission.
• Candidates will be admitted to either weekend or weekday(evening) classes. The decision will be in the hands of the management.
• Only 15 students are allotted per batch.
Examination:
• Annual exam will be conducted at the month of February.
• To attend the exam, student must have 90% or more than 90% of attendance.
• Theory portions will be taught from third year of the course onwards.
• Exams will be conducted by the externals.
Uniforms:
• Bharathanatyam students should be dressed in proper uniform.
• For small girls - Uniforms will be provided by the institution.
• Grown up girls - Practice saree costume of contrasting blouse & Pyjama.
Single Plaited hair,Maroon or red color bindi,simple ear-ring & chains,bangles.
• Small boys - White and white kurtha or traditional color contrasting kurtha.
• Grown up boys - White Dhoti & round necked white T-shirt and decent hair cut.
• Note : Boys should not apply nail polish or megandhi.
Performance:
• Students learning Bharathanatyam will be performing in our Annual Art
Festival and also in other academic events.
 • All the students are encouraged to participate in the events conducted by our institution.However,only the students from fourth year to final year are opted for stage performance of bharathanatyam and other decisions will be made by the director.
Convocation:
• Convocation will be conducted as a separate function.
• Students,only those who complete their course with distinction will be awarded with the "Certificate Of Completion" for the course.
• Students completing the certificate course, can take up diploma in bharathanatyam
which is of 4 years.
Service to the Instititon:
• Students who are interested in other areas of institution (such as office,
costume incharge, makeup, ... etc) can take up incharge and help.
• Students will be invited at regular intervals to perform in our
festival & also in other events.This applies to students who have completed their course in our Institution also.
• Students may also be invited for giving lecture-demos,taking classes etc for their juniors.
Instructions to Parents:
• Parents who get admission for their wards in our institution are advised to know the course structure of our Institution and the history of the Institution.
• Parents should co-operate with the Institution and it's norms(this includes their ward's uniform and their attitude towards learning).
• Parents are advised to be sincere towards their ward's Fine Arts Education.
• Parents should leave their wards 10 minutes prior to the commencement of the class.
