RUKMINIDEVI NATYAKSHETRA FOUNDATION was established on July 6th 1997, at
Mugappair, Chennai. Major focus of the institution is to train the younger
generation on a curriculum system with a certificate course in Bharathanatyam,
Vocal, Violin, Veena, Flute, Mirudangam and Arts. Formally our educational trust
was registered in the name of SANTHIAMMAL EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE TRUST.
RUKMINIDEVI NATYAKSHETRA FOUNDATION is governing by Santhiammal
Educational & Charitable Trust. RUKMINIDEVI NATYAKSHETRA FOUNDATION was
started by the inspiration of Smt. RUKMINIDEVI ARUNDALE, Founder of
Kalakshetra. Natyakshetra aims at preserving, promoting & popularizing these
cultural treasures of our motherland among people of all creed & communities and
to build up self discipline and spiritual strongly in them.
NATYAKSHETRA was first started with Bharathanatyam, a South Indian
classical art form and later on developed by bringing other courses like Vocal,
Instruments and Arts . Our Institution was started with one student and now
growing up progressively. Our institution is particular in teaching the Indian
culture, which will shape the students in a holistic sense. We sculpture the
students into a cultured citizens to our country and the world.
